User tips for Contigo bottle: 

• It is our advice to pre warm the unit with boiling water and allow to stand for five minutes to gain the best outcome of keeping a beverage hot.
• The vessel with stay hotter longest when filled up to the thread line on the interior. Half-filled vessels will not stay hot as long.
• The lid must be securely fitted to the vessel in order to create the vacuum which keeps the contents hot.
• Hot water from the tap can in no way be expected to stay hot as compared with boiling water.
• If your personal preference is to add milk to the beverage then one must expect the temperature time to be significantly less than if no milk were added.
• Dented or dropped and damaged vessels will not stay hot as long.
